This is the fourth year for the Sontag Entrepreneurship Competition at the University of Nevada, Reno. The competition is designed to encourage students to turn ideas into actual businesses. Each year, after several months of workshops and talks from experts in all sorts of areas of business, the finalists are announced. These finalists compete for the $50,000 grand prize to start their business.
For the 2014/2015 competition, there were over thirty intents to compete that entered in the beginning. Only four companies were ultimately picked to compete for the grand prize after each plan was read by more than five different judges. The four companies are Adaption, Burn Ready, Navatar and Nevada Dynamics.
